I can’t believe how fast the time has gone - it only feels like I booked my flight tickets a couple weeks ago despite the fact that it was ALL the way back at the end of December!
I set off at 6am on Thursday 11th June with my Dad to catch my flight to KIX, Osaka at 9:40! This time I flew from Birmingham so it was a slightly bigger airport than the last, Bristol, that I flew from.
I flew with KLM again since I love this airline so much! The first flight was to Amsterdam and from there I headed straight to my gate despite the 2 and a bit hour wait for my next flight. It wasn’t too bad a wait as they board before the flight time and there’s Wi-Fi throughout the airport which was handy for me to get online with my phone/chromebook so I was able to call home quick and upload some photos to FB, aha.
Soon, I boarded my flight - I chose a window seat mainly for the fact that I love to take photos throughout the flight! I was sat next to two others but there were SO many empty seats for some reason that they instead moved a row up, they were so nice and spoke really good English! Which meant, then, I had the whole row/aisle bit to myself! That’s never happened before so I was actually able to lay down and sleep a good hour or so of the 10 hour flight. I’m super jet-lagged at the minute. ><

The meals were really nice but I still struggled to eat it all as they’re too big for me! I had dinner and breakfast and also had a few of their snacks in between, I missed the ice-cream because I was asleep but I can’t really have many types of ice-cream anyways due to being partially lactose intolerant or whatever is wrong with my body and certain dairy products, aha. Ended up FINALLY watching Kingsman and jalfkdjalfja IT IS SO GOOD?!? I really recommend it! KLM have different headsets than last time now and I found them to be super cute aha;; All blue and such.
Anyways, I landed and headed to customs. It took about 30 minutes due to the large queue but I had my fingerprints scanned and photo taken so I was out soon after to collect my suitcase and then met my host-parents after 2 years! We headed to the airport post-office for me to grab my Mobile Wi-fi ( I’ll do a seperate post about Mobile Wi-fi in Japan, perhaps and who I went with as it’s SO fast and really helpful! ) Then shortly after, went to grab a bite to eat.

This was the cafe/restaurant we ate at! It’s super cute! I’ll probably be calling everything cute during this trip l-lol. I wasn’t -too- hungry so I didn’t want to order something too large, ended up going with their breakfast dish and left out the boiled egg as I don’t like egg >< My host-mum ate it, though! I also had Japanese Soda/Ramune to drink with the meal which was well-needed as even though I had a drink on me, it heats up so fast due to the humidity in Japan during the summer.
We headed on home after the meal, it was such a nostalgic feeling - driving back up to the house I stayed at two years ago. Not much has changed so it almost felt as if I never left. I napped a bit in the car but the drive from the airport to the house is only about an hour and I remembered where we were somehow from the roads looking similiar so I knew when we were close. At least I’ll know I probably won’t get lost if I venture around the area. ( Another thing that the Mobile Wi-fi is good for as you have access to Google Maps, that way!)
Mayuko had to work this day so I didn’t see her but I went to a Sushi restaurant across the road from the house with my host-parents and it was super good! It’s either the humidity or the fact that I eat every two seconds in Japan but I don’t think I’ve ever been starving when I’m here?

I wasn’t too hungry when I went to the restaurant but still managed to have a few plates of different sushi and a mango dessert. I think I had some sort of burger sushi, pork, salmon, tuna and some of them were covered in a really nice cheese. They also had a line of gacha machines here with different gacha such as Haikyuu, Rilakkuma and then some other characters I hadn’t heard of before! I didn’t try it as I know that there’s hundreds of the machines in Namba so best to save my money for then!

(The right is apple juice!)
We went straight back to the house after and I watched a bit of TV with my host-dad as well as look around the garden he grows and try some of the fruit. Ended up getting a good 3-4 hour nap after as I felt really really tired at this stage but I woke up and not long after, my friend, 理恵 came to visit! It had been almost two years so we were both excited to see each other! Aha, we had a nice long catch-up and I also, at this point, found out that I have an insane love for plum-juice! It’s so sweet but delicious! We made plans to go Karaoke on Sunday lunch with Hiroki, my host brother so I’m really really excited for this as we’re both gonna sing a bunch of our favourite songs. (Excited to finally get to sing Amazarashi’s TG song!) I love Karaoke in Japan because even if you can’t sing (LIKE ME LOLOL) you still have lots of fun!

That’s it for this day! No purchases or anything as it was a relax-day for me - typing this up on the morning of Day 2 and it looks to be really hot and sunny, today! I’m vlogging from today as well as I have only a selection of few videos from yesterday which will all be edited when I’m home!
